Who we are
Shoreline Stone and Ceramics was born out of a lifelong passion for tile craftsmanship. Our founder began his career at just 16 years old in the summer of 1992, working for Maccarthy Tile Company (CA C54 license #553704)— a third-generation, family-owned business that became both a training ground and a second home. What started as a summer job quickly transformed into a calling, instilling the values of integrity, precision, and pride that still guide our work today.
By 2001, he was invited to become a partner at Maccarthy Tile (CA C54 license #791370) before launching his own company in 2006, Shoreline Stone & Ceramics (CA C54 license #873846). Over the decades, he has worked on a wide array of residential and commercial projects — from religious temples, luxury yachts, and high-end homes to intricate pools, spas, boutique commercial spaces, and two unforgettable bungalows in Bora Bora, French Polynesia.
Our expertise spans a rich variety of materials — porcelain, ceramic, glass, mosaic, handmade tile, and natural stone — and every project reflects our dedication to craftsmanship, collaboration, and care. But our work is about more than tile: it’s about people, purpose, and pride.
We believe everyone deserves a space where they feel seen, safe, and celebrated. Whether installing a backsplash in a cozy kitchen or designing a statement entryway for a business, we approach each project with the understanding that craftsmanship is a form of care. Our mission is to build environments that reflect the spirit and identity of the people who live and work in them, ensuring the finished product feels personal, authentic, and lasting.
Our team holds itself to the highest standards of quality and integrity. We are detail-oriented, respectful of budgets and timelines, and passionate about delivering customer satisfaction that endures for years. With Shoreline Stone and Ceramics, you’re not just getting tile — you’re investing in spaces that will inspire, uplift, and stand the test of time.
Jeff’s tile industry journey began in 1992 at age 16, setting the stage for a lifetime of expertise and artistry.

To the Maccarthy Family:
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for believing in me, welcoming me into your family, and teaching me a trade that became my lifelong passion. My life would be entirely different had I not been so fortunate to land that summer job with you.
I am eternally grateful for the skills, values, and opportunities you shared with me. Because of your guidance, I’ve been able to grow Shoreline Stone and Ceramics into what it is today — a living testament to everything you taught me. I owe so much of my success and craftsmanship to you, and I will always carry your influence with deep appreciation and respect.
With Love and gratitude,
Jeff Swanson
